EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The 2025-2027 Executive Committee consists of elected officers, at large members and appointed committee chairs dedicated to social justice and eliminating disparities that affect communities of color in Winston-Salem.

The following members serve as general representatives of the membership, providing broad oversight, ensure inclusive decision-making, participate in board and membership meetings, and support branch initiatives such as advocacy, outreach, and fundraising. 

STANDING COMMITTEES

Political Action

Encourages voter registration and advocates for legislation that improves the status of minority groups.

Women in the NAACP (WIN)

Addresses civil rights issues affecting women and children.

Membership

Focuses on maintaining and growing membership year-round.

Education

Works to eliminate segregation and discriminatory practices in public education.

Legal Redress

Investigates reported cases and supervises litigation of interest to the unit.

Veterans Affairs

Builds relationships with agencies serving veterans and members of the Armed Services.

Religious Affairs

Provides a moral and ethical perspective on the civil rights movement.

Health

Focuses on promoting and protecting the health of African Americans.

Communications

Promotes media content that supports the NAACP’s goals of racial equity and cultural understanding.

Young Adult

Engages adults aged 21-40 through advocacy and membership drives.

Housing

Studies local housing conditions.

Youth Work

Coordinates senior and youth group programs.
